CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— At around 2 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20 in the town of Pomfret. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Samual J. Cettell. Further investigation found Cettell to be operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Cettell was charged with DWI and no and inadequate plate lamps. He will be in Pomfret court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Kevin Lopez, 30, no address listed, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief,

At about 11:50 p.m., officersresponded to a domestic incident on the city’s south side. It was determined that Lopez engaged in a verbal argument with a female victim.

During the argument, Lopez intentionally damaged property belonging to the female victim and was taken into custody.

Upon further investigation, Lopez had a valid refrain from order of protection to refrain from offensive conduct. He was being held in Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

— Joshua A. Pickering, 30, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and felony driving while intoxicated per se. At 1:33 a.m, officers observed a vehicle operating in the area of West Third Street and Harding Avenue without headlights. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the operator to be Pickering. Through investigation, it was found that he was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He was placed into custody and transported to city jail.
