JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Carolyn B. Shields, 43, of Jamestown was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI and several traffic citations at 2:36 a.m. April 27 after officers responded to the area of Allen and Scioto streets for a reported car accident. Upon arrival officers reportedly saw a street sign in the road, a damaged telephone pole and tire skid marks leading to a damaged vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. Officers made contact with Shields, who was allegedly in the driver seat of the vehicle. Shields was charged and taken to the city jail, where she allegedly was found to have three times the legal limit of alcohol in her system. She was released to be in court later.
– Darrin E. Pangborn, 59, of Jamestown was charged with menacing a police officer, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled weapon and resisting arrest at 6:07 p.m. Tuesday after city police and county sheriff’s deputies working on a GIVE hotspot patrol on the east side of the city allegedly saw Pangborn knowing he had active warrants from Jamestown City Court. According to a police report officers tried to arrest Pangborn, who then allegedly grabbed an open pocket knife and raised it up aggressively toward officers. After a reported physical altercation Pangborn was taken into custody. He was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Kevin Lopez, 30, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 10 p.m. Tuesday after officers responded to a domestic incident on the city’s south side. Lopez allegedly damaged property belonging to another person during the dispute. Lopez was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
