JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Marcus L. Carlson, 38, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and resisting arrest at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday after officers performed a warrant check at a southside address for Carlson as part of a GIVE detail. Upon making contact at the residence, officers spoke with Carlson and advised him of his outstanding warrant. Carlson allegedly began to retreat back into his apartment and while doing so, allegedly attempted to conceal something while failing to comply with the officer’s commands. After a brief struggle, officers charged Carlson. It was found Carlson allegedly attempted to conceal a quantity of methamphetamine to prevent officers from finding it. Marcus was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Hayden E. Guichard, 23, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest at 9:45 p.m. Monday after officers saw her walking on East Second Street knowing Guichard had outstanding arrest warrants through Jamestown City Court. Guichard allegedly clung to an individual she was walking with and then allegedly fought with the officer to prevent her arrest. Guichard was charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
