JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Darin L. Bates, 25, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, resisting arrest and arrested for having an active bench warrant from Jamestown City Court at 8:12 p.m. Monday after officers responded to a west side home for a reported domestic dispute. Officers arrived and reported finding Bates sleeping in a vehicle in the driveway of the residence. According to a police report, officers knew Bates had an active bench warrant from Jamestown City Court and knew that there was a stay-away order of protection against Bates to stay away from a woman at the home. Bates allegedly pushed against officers when they were charging him and then, according to a police report, dropped his weight to make it harder to move him. After a brief time, Bates was placed into the patrol vehicle and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Mackenzie D. Kelley, 33, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 12:46 p.m. Monday after officers working on a GIVE Domestic Violence detail conducting follow-up investigations and checking for order of protection violations found Kelley at a north side address allegedly hiding in a tent at an address in violation of a full stay away order of protection issued by Jamestown City Court. Police report it is the second time in less than a week that Kelley has been charged for violating the same order of protection. Kelley was charged and taken to the city jail until arraignment.
– Leandro M. Weidner, 33, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment at 9:06 p.m. Sunday after officers responded to a domestic incident on the city’s west side. According to a police report, Weidner allegedly kicked a woman in the chest. The woman was the protected party in an order of protection against Weidner. Weidner was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Naquan M. Evans, 29, of Jamestown was charged with three counts of first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree assault and aggravated criminal contempt at 8:30 p.m. Sunday after officers responded to an east side residence for a reported domestic dispute. Through investigation, it was learned Naquan M. Evans allegedly hit a woman several times in the face and head. Police report the woman sustained visible marks around her face, a bloody nose, and was unable to hear out of her left ear. Evans was reportedly found outside of the residence, charged and taken to the city jail without incident until he could be arraigned. Police say there is an active stay away order of protection against Evans for the three people in the home.
