JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Heidi S. Waite-Coone, 43, was charged with second-degree falsely reporting an incident.

At about 1:21 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to assist fire and rescue with a reported chair on fire inside a southside residence.

Upon arrival, Jamestown Fire Department was able to conclude that there was no fire, or any evidence of an extinguished fire. Officers were then able to determine that Waite-Coone called for emergency services regarding an alleged chair on fire for no legitimate purpose, misusing emergency services and personnel.

Heidi was placed into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– HANOVER – Robert Lyman, 30, of Silver Creek was charged Thursday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. On May 10, deputies responded to a report of an altercation on Old Hanover Road. Stemming from that incident, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division was called to the scene. A permission to search was signed for the residence. Through investigation, fentanyl was allegedly located inside the residence. Lyman will answer the charges out of the Town of Hanover Court.
