JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Michael A. Green, 33, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration following an incident Wednesday evening. At 6:22 p.m. officers report seeing Green standing on a sidewalk near a city residence. Officers had prior knowledge Green had an active and outstanding felony warrant for his arrest from Jamestown. Officers approached Green and ordered him to stop. However, Green allegedly ran into a building. Officers then secured a perimeter around the building Green had locked himself in and waited for additional officers to assist. Officers continued to command Green to exit the residence, and he allegedly failed to comply. Officers made entry into the residence and placed Green under arrest. Geen was transported to the city jail and held for arraignment.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Deven W. Ellsworth, 25, of Jamestown was arrested and charged with third-degree assault following an incident which took place May 2. Officers responded to a reported fight at a business located in Ellicott at 10:50 a.m. Officers allege Ellsworth shoved and hit an individual causing injury. Ellsworth was found, charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arrangement. Ellsworth will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Jason S. Smith, 53, of Jamestown was charged with first degree criminal contempt and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance following an incident on May 4. Officers responded to a call for an unwanted subject in the Village of Celoron. Officers allege Smith was in violation of a court order to stay away/order of protection for the residents of the property where Smith was found. Smith was also allegedly in possession of what officers say is methamphetamine. Smith was charged and taken to the county jail for a centralized arraignment. He will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Andrew C. Schultz, 37, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following an incident May 7. Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious person at 7 a.m. Officers found Schultz and reported he had an active arrest warrant from the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. Schultz allegedly had a small quantity of methamphetamine. Schultz was issued an appearance ticket and released to the custody of the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. He will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Kristy E. Walters, 32, and Christopher S. Walters, 34, both of Randolph, were charged with petit larceny at 2 p.m. on May 10. Ellicott officers responded to a shoplifting complaint from the Target Department Store. Both Kristy Walters and Christopher Walters were issued appearance tickets and are due to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court later.

– Kevin P. Carlson, 30, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault and second-degree harassment following an incident May 12. Officers responded to a complaint of domestic violence where it is alleged that Carlson destroyed property belonging to the victim, along with causing injury to the victim. Carlson was taken into custody and transported to the County jail for centralized arraignment. Carlson is due to appear in the Town of Ellicott court later.

– Robin J. Brown, 52, of Falconer was charged with second-degree criminal contempt following an incident on May 13. At 3:38 p.m. officers assisted representatives from the Chautauqua County Department of Probation, it is alleged that Brown was in violation of an active stay away order of protection. Brown was issued an appearance ticket and will answer chargers at the Town of Ellicott court at a later date.
