JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Jakiera Wright, 19, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief following an incident which took place Thursday. Officers responded to an address in the southside of the city at 4:06 p.m. for a reported domestic dispute in progress. It is alleged that Wright smashed a “bong” onto the victim’s cell phone causing it to shatter. Wright was placed into custody and transported to the city jail and held pending arraignment.

– Naquan M Evans, 28, of Jamestown was charged with three counts of second-degree criminal contempt following an incident Friday morning. At 12:38 a.m. officers responded to an alleged potential burglary in-progress at an address on the east side of the city. Upon arrival officers reported that they detained Evans for violating an order of protection with three different individuals. Evans was then taken into custody and transported to the city jail. Evans will be in court at a later date.
