COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— CHAUTAUQUA — At around 4:35 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a suspicious situation complaint. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the operator of the vehicle who was identified as Andrew C. Harris, 27, of Westfield. Through an investigation, it was found that Harris was operating the vehicle while having a suspended license. Harris was then cited for first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and is set to be in the Town of Chautauqua court at a later date.

— HANOVER — At around 6:07 p.m., deputies with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Routes 5 and 20 for a report of a vehicle driving erratically. After arriving and locating with the vehicle, the operator was identified as Charles Eich, 53, of Hamburg. Through an investigation Eich was found to be driving the vehicle while intoxicated. Eich was charged with DWI and aggravated DWI. Eich was released with appearance tickets to appear in the town of Hanover court for a later date and time.

— WESTFIELD — At around 1:13 a.m. Friday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Westfield Police Department responded to an address on Route 20 for a reported assault. An investigation into the incident led to the arrest of Levi A Cross, 23, of Westfield. Cross was charged with one count of second-degree assault. Cross was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Program.
