JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Steven W. Walsh, 50, of Jamestown was charged with prohibited burning at 5:52 a.m. Sunday in the woods behind 86 Steele St. According to a police report, officers responded to a report of a fire in the woods and allegedly found a man concealing himself in the woods and screaming erratically. Police made contact with the man, who they say began swinging large tree branches wildly and didn’t respond to officers’ commands. The man then allegedly lunged at one of the officers, starting a struggle. Walsh was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned because he had a bench warrant for another prohibited burn. He will be in court later.

– Dylan S. Griffith, 33, of Jamestown was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing/blood circulation and second-degree unlawful imprisonment at 8:44 p.m. Sunday after an incident on Jamestown’s east side. According to a police report, officers responded to a reported in-progress domestic incident between Griffith and a woman. Griffith allegedly applied pressure to the neck of the victim and physically prevented her from leaving the location. Griffith was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Jessica L. McAdoo, 30, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 5:49 p.m. Sunday at the Tim Hortons location at 21 S. Main St. According to a police report, officers responded to a report of a violation of an order of protection. McAdoo allegedly had violated a valid stay away order of protection by presenting herself at the other person’s place of employment. McAdoo was found shortly and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
