JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT – Wilfredo Rivera-Vasquez, 22, of Jamestown was charged with criminally using drug paraphernalia, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful imprisonment, criminal impersonation, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, following a domestic incident on the city’s south side at 5:38 a.m. Tuesday. According to a police report, Rivera-Vasques allegedly choked a woman and did not allow her to leave the residence. Police report the woman escaped the residence and fled to a neighbor’s house who then contacted the police. While Rivera-Vasques was speaking with officers he allegedly lied about his name and date of birth to hide the fact that he had outstanding warrants for his arrest by both the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Fredonia Police Department After Rivera-Vazquez was searched, officers report he allegedly had 56.7 grams of cocaine, a quantity of lorazepam pills, cash and a digital scale. Rivera-Vasques was taken to the city jail pending arraignment. – Craig M. VanHook, 34, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia after a street check on the south side of Jamestown at 12:09 a.m. Thursday. Officers reported VanHook had an active arrest warrant by the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. As VanHook’s was searched it is alleged that he was found to be in possession of 40.1 grams of methamphetamine, 18.5 grams of fentanyl, 21.0 grams of cocaine hydrochloride (HCL) and free base crack. Vanhook’s was also reported to be in possession of a switchblade knife, mannitol , a large quantity of glassine envelopes (a known narcotic packaging item) and a digital scale with residue on it. VanHook was then transported to the city jail pending arraignment. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAYVILLE – William A Quinones, 50, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. It is alleged that on March 21, while incarcerated in the Chautauqua County Jail, inmate William A Quinones did damage property belonging to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. He will answer the charge at the Chautauqua Town Court.
