CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— At around 12:03 a.m. Sunday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. Through an investigation, the operator of the vehicle, Antwain O. Jackson, 47, of Buffalo, was found to be driving while intoxicated. Jackson was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, speed in zone, and moving from lane unsafely. Jackson was released and is to return to town court later.

— SHERMAN — At around 3:51 p.m. Friday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to Route 76 for a report of a motor vehicle accident with a vehicle into a pond. The operator was identified as Heather L Ramsey, 43, of Sherman. Ramsey was transported by EMS to UPMC Chautauqua to be evaluated for possible injuries. Further investigation found Ramsey to be driving while intoxicated. Ramsey was charged with DWI and moving from lane unsafely. Ramsey was released to medical staff and will be in town court later.

— SHERIDAN — At around 4:23 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a two-vehicle property damage accident. Through an investigation it was found that Lorne R. Carter, 63, of Sheridan, was driving while intoxicated. Carter was charged with aggravated DWI, and failure to yield right of way when entering a road. Carter was later released and will return to town court later.
