JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Nicholas J. Dean, 33, of Jamestown, was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. At around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to 116 Park St. to assist Chautauqua County Probation with a house check. Officers made contact at the residence with Dean, who is under the supervision of probation.
A search of the residence yielded a quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl, Buprenorphone Hydrochloride pills, a digital scale, narcotic packaging materials, two spring-assisted switchblade knives, an electronic stun gun, and $8,085 in cash, which is suspected to be the proceeds of illegal narcotics sales. He was being housed in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— RIPLEY — Deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Troopers of the State Police were flagged down by a bystander reporting a male and a female were allegedly trespassing on a property. It was found through investigation that William J. Burch Jr., 35, and Kathryn M. Burnett, 39, were trespassing on that property. Deputies and a trooper searched the immediate area locating Burch and Burnett in thick red brush. K-9 Bentley was utilized in finding the exact location of Burch and Burnett in the red brush where they were taken into custody. Burch and Burnett were charged with 2 counts of Trespass each. Burch and Burnett were transported to the Ripley substation where they were processed and released with appearance tickets to be in court later.
