JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Aaron A. Johnson, 29, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon following an incident which occurred Monday night. Officers with the Jamestown Police Department assigned to a special detail for crime prevention, reported seeing and hearing a vehicle that was operating with a loud exhaust system. Officers stopped the vehicle at Newland and Forest Avenue at 4:19 p.m. Further investigation during the traffic stop, officers allege that Johnson was in possession of an operable stun gun. Johnson was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City jail where a full search of him was conducted. It was then discovered that Johnson had what appeared to allegedly be a quantity of fentanyl and crack cocaine that he was trying to conceal in between his buttocks. Johnson was held pending arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— HANOVER — At around 8:43 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to a residence for a report of a disorderly person. After an investigation it was determined that Rebekka Melendez-Bane, 31, of Irving, did seriously annoy and alarm another person and did violate a court order of protection. Melendez-Bane was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt. She was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for an arraignment and will be in town court later
