JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– A Jamestown man is facing charges after allegedly leaving his child unattended on Monday.

Jatwon D. Scott, 28, is facing a charge of endangering the welfare of a child after police officers respond to Prather Avenue for a report of a lost child at 1:52 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located a four-year old child who had reportedly been wandering the street and could not tell officers his name or address. After further investigation, it was discovered that Scott had allegedly fallen asleep and left the child unattended. Scott was arrested and transported to Jamestown City Jail while awaiting arraignment.

– Tyler A. Perez, 40, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after an incident which occurred Wednesday morning. At approximately 4:02 a.m. officers with Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon observed Perez inside of a 7-Eleven store on Hazeltine Avenue. Perez had an active bench warrant for Jamestown City Court and was placed into custody without incident. During a search of Perez, he was found to be allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as having a switchblade pocket knife. Perez was then transported to the city jail and was held pending arraignment.
