JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— There was a lot more than just fireworks after Jamestown police pulled over a vehicle late Saturday.

Darci L. Giaimo, 33, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful dealing with fireworks, dangerous fireworks, consumption of an alcohol in a motor vehicle and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 10:33 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at North Main and Lamont streets for an equipment violation. During the course of the investigation, officers determined that Giaimo was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, suboxone, plastic knuckles, a billy club, an open container of alcohol and dangerous fireworks. Officers also determined that Giaimo had been operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

Giaimo was released with an appearance ticket and numerous traffic tickets.

— Allison P. Langworthy, 30, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated DWI, Leandra’s Law, DWI and passing a red signal.

At 1:20 a.m. Saturday, officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at a red light. Officers conducted a stop and determined Langworthy was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. During the course of the traffic stop, officers observed an infant to be in the vehicle. Langworthy submitted to a chemical test which determined that her BAC exceeded 0.18%.

Langworthy was held pending arraignment.

— Helen A. Anderson, 56, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after a Saturday afternoon stabbing with a pair of scissors.

At 2 p.m., officers responded to a residence on the city’s westside for a reported Domestic Dispute involving a male victim that had been stabbed. Upon arrival and after further investigation, officers were able to identify Anderson as the primary aggressor of the altercation. Anderson and the male victim engaged in a verbal argument that shortly after turned physical, where the victim was stabbed in the forearm with a pair of medical scissors. Anderson was placed into custody and transported to UPMC on injuries she sustained during the incident.

Anderson was treated, released, and transported to the Jamestown City Jail afterward without incident where she was being held pending arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY

SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— At around 1 a.m. Sunday, The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at Route 60 and Porter Avenue in the town of Pomfret. The operator was identified as Deitrich Miinte, 23, of Randolph. Miinte was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI and speed in zone. Miinte was later released and will return to town court later.

— FRENCH CREEK — At around 03:51 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office located a vehicle parked in Marvin Road. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Kyle Scarpino, 24 of Harborcreek, Pa. Scarpino was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and No Stopping/Standing on Highway. Scarpino was later released and will return to town court later.
