JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Megan E. Feldt, 41, no address listed, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Prather Avenue and Forest Avenue for observed traffic infractions. A search of the vehicle turned up four loose clonazepam pills without a prescription. Feldt, the driver of the vehicle, was transported to Jamestown City Jail. During a search at the jail, Feldt was found with a small quantity of crack cocaine. She is scheduled to appear later in Jamestown City Court.
— Samantha K. Wilson, 29, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers at 11:26 p.m. Thursday observed a suspicious vehicle parked and occupied in the parking lot of 43 River St. A search turned up a quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamine found in Wilson’s possession. Wilson was transported to jail and held for arraignment in court.
— Anthony M. Spitale, 28, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Officers responded at 3:43 p.m. Thursday to the east side of the city for a warrant check. Spitale was located inside and was taken into custody on an active bench warrant. Officers located a quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl with paraphernalia in his possession. Spitale was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident and held for arraignment in court.
— Patrick J. Dhondt, 48, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation. Officers stopped a vehicle at 12:56 a.m. Friday on Camp Street. While attempting to issue Dhondt a citation for not wearing a seatbelt, he allegedly assumed the identity of another person. It was later learned that Dhondt had an outstanding warrant for providing officers with a false name. Dhondt was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was held pending arraignment.
— Wilfredo M. Castrillo, 47, of Jamestown; Morgan E. Ryder, 26, of Kennedy; and David G. Santiago Jr., 24, of Jamestown, were each charged with third- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Charles T. Cummins, 53, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. A search warrant was executed at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday at a lower apartment at 618 Spring St. Inside, police located Castrillo, Santiago and Ryder while Cummins was found in the backyard. During a search, police found 5 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of fentanyl and powder cocaine, scales and a small amount of cash.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
— DUNKIRK — Gary A. Lang, 56, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree burglary and two counts each of trespass and petit larceny. Between Dec. 28 and 30, several vehicle entries, trespass complaints as well as a burglary occurred in the towns of Pomfret and Portland. A probe by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division concluded that Lang was responsible. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office used surveillance footage provided by the public to assist its investigation.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
— FREDONIA — Jermaine Batten, 46 of Fredonia, was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a firearm, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon as well as two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. A search warrant was executed Jan. 5 at The Pawn Shop, 355 Central Ave., Fredonia. An investigation found that the operator was selling and receiving firearms despite not being licensed federally or in New York state. Several firearms were recovered, along with 1.5 grams of cocaine. Batten was processed without incident and was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
