JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Julie M. Capizzi, of Frewsburg, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. David H. Vanguilder, of Jamestown, was charged with false personation, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Police were called at 12:45 p.m. Monday to the east side of the city to assist the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office with locating a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located on Hopkins Avenue and observed a male fleeing from the driver’s seat. A female passenger inside the stolen vehicle, identified as Capizzi, was taken into custody without incident. The male driver, who was located a short distance away, was identified as Vanguilder. Both were transported to Jamestown City Jail. Vanguilder had outstanding felony bench warrants out of the city of Jamestown, town of Ellicott and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office as well as charges from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office regarding the stolen motor vehicle.
— David G. Santiago Jr., 25, of Jamestown, was taken into custody on a Jamestown City Court bench warrant. Alicia M. Alexander, 43, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Santiago was observed at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday walking with a female in the area of East Fifth Street and Prendergast Avenue. Santiago was known to have a bench warrant and was taken into custody without incident. Alexander was found to have a felony arrest warrant out of the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. She was found in possession of a small quantity of cocaine and suboxone. Santiago and Alexander were transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Brandon L. Upton, 37, of Westfield, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, second-degree harassment, disorderly conduct, second-degree criminal impersonation and driving while intoxicated. Officers were called to East Main Street at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 29 for a suspicious situation with a possible intoxicated driver. An investigation determined that Upton allegedly drove while intoxicated and became disorderly while in a store. While being arrested, Upton allegedly kicked out the window of a patrol car, causing more than $1,500 in damage. It was also learned that Upton allegedly gave police a false name. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
