JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Joshua M. Spagnualo, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police observed a male slumped over the wheel of a vehicle at 1:45 a.m. Friday in the area of Charles Street. An investigation determined that Spagnualo was allegedly under the influence of drugs. A search later turned up a quantity of fentanyl. Spagnualo was processed and released with tickets to appear in court later.

— Armando Colon, 25, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and overdriving, torturing and injuring animals. Officers responded at 9:20 a.m. Monday to the west side of the city for a peace officer call and were advised that Colon reportedly had active domestic violence charges stemming from an earlier incident. Colon was located in the basement hiding under a stack of boxes. He was taken into custody and held for arraignment in court.
