JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Vincent A. Jones, 58, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police stopped a vehicle at 1:58 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Barrett Avenue for traffic infractions. An investigation found that Jones was allegedly in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine in addition to a digital scale. Jones is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court later.
— Trajan M. Wofford, 25, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fugitive from justice. Officers located a vehicle reported stolen at 4 p.m. Tuesday on Broadhead Avenue. An investigation led police to Wofford in a nearby residence. Wofford was wanted by the Bradford Police Department for a reported vehicle larceny. Wofford was transported to jail and held for arraignment in court.
— Jeremy D. Lyons, 29, of Jamestown, was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest. Police conducted an area check at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday of the Cherry Street parking ramp. A male was observed in the north stairwell. While issuing him an appearance ticket, Lyons reportedly ran away from officers. Lyons was taken into custody after a short pursuit. He was held for arraignment in court.
— Jason R. Alexander, 41, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal sexual act. Police responded at 4 a.m. Thursday to the east side of the city and found that Alexander allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with another person without that person’s consent. Alexander was held for arraignment in court.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Hyla M. Brinkley, 53, no address listed, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Police at 12:18 a.m. Jan. 14 observed a vehicle driving with no headlamps on Fairmount Avenue. Brinkley was taken into custody following an investigation and later released. She is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.
— Jason S. Smith, 53, no address listed, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. Police responded Jan. 17 to a reported domestic incident in Celoron and found that Smith allegedly broke property and was violating an order of protection. Smith was eventually taken into custody and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in court later.
— Luis R. Rivera Gonzalez, 35, and Luis A. Hernandez Roman, 54, were each charged with petit larceny. Police were called Jan. 19 to Wegmans for an alleged shoplifting and found that Rivera Gonzalez and Hernandez Roman concealed items and passed all points of sale. Both are scheduled to appear in court later.
