JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Richard A. Goodman III, 38, no address listed, was charged with second-degree menacing and resisting arrest. Officers responded at 2:34 p.m. Wednesday to the east side of the city for an unwanted person. Upon arrival, officers located Goodman in a parking lot acting disorderly. Officers also learned that Goodman had allegedly menaced a woman with a metal fork, causing her to fear for her safety. Goodman was taken into custody after a brief struggle and transported to Jamestown City Jail. He was held for arraignment in court.
— Patricia M. Baez, 51, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a physically disabled person and criminal obstruction of breathing. The department was made aware of an incident involving a physically disabled person being abused at a care facility. An investigation determined that Baez, a caretaker employee of the residence, allegedly grabbed an adult victim by the neck and dragged them to their room. Baez was taken into custody Wednesday and held for arraignment in court.
— Hector V. Ortiz-Rodriguez, 48, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday to the north side of the city for a reported domestic incident. It was determined that Ortiz-Rodriguez allegedly broke another person’s phone while the person was calling 911. The victim also had an order of protection against Ortiz-Rodriguez. He was transported to jail and held for arraignment in court.
