JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Andrew Cooper, 35, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt. Officers responded at 5:52 p.m. Saturday to the east side of the city and located Cooper. An investigation found that Cooper was allegedly violating an order of protection issued by Jamestown City Court. He was transported to jail and held for arraignment in court.

– Derek C. Dubois, 47, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle at 1:32 p.m. Monday on Barrett Avenue, near Prather Avenue, for observed traffic infractions. During a search, a quantity of crack cocaine was located inside the vehicle. Dubois was processed and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court later.
