Man Charged

In High-Speed Chase

Traiquane Nance, 34, of Dunkirk, was charged Dec. 11 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, unlawful fleeing in a motor vehicle and reckless driving.

The chase began when city officers pulled over a vehicle for a traffic infraction on Third Street. It then sped away, striking a parked vehicle before heading to Central Avenue and Fredonia before crashing.

Nance also was charged with a slew of traffic infractions: 15 counts of failure to stop at a stop sign, four counts of passing a red signal, two counts of disobeying a traffic control device, and single counts of parking on highway, signal less than 100 feet, unsafe start, speed not reasonable, improper left turn, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and failure to comply.

The chase ended at One Temple Square in Fredonia when the vehicle crashed and caught on fire. Fredonia Police and Fire Departments also were at the scene and officers pulled Nance from the vehicle.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Jennifer M. Allen, 38, was charged with second-degree harassment, two county of first-degree criminal contempt after making threats on Saturday.

Before 10 p.m. officers responded to an address on the east side of the city for a harassment in progress. Through an investigation it was determined that Allen did head butt the victim and threatened to kill him. She left the area but was located shortly nearby. It was also determined that there is a valid stay away order of protection against Allen to stay away from the victim. She was being held pending arraignment.

– Richard A. Conway, 43, was picked up Sunday as a fugitive of justice.

At around 2:52 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Cherry and West Sixth streets for observed traffic infractions. Through an investigation it was determined that the passenger of the vehicle, Conway, had a confirmed warrant out of Pennsylvania. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Amanda M. McKendree, 34, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Police responded at 4 p.m. Nov. 20 to a local business for a fraudulent check that McKendree was attempting to cash. McKendree was located Saturday on an active warrant out of Busti Town Court. She is scheduled to appear in court later.

– Zachary C. Clark, 55, of Ashville, was taken into custody Friday on an active warrant from the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. He was processed and is scheduled to appear in court later.

– Ricardo Q. Coker, 47, of Jamestown, was taken into custody Saturday on an active warrant out of Busti Town Court for second-degree aggravated harassment after he allegedly made multiple threats of harm to another person. Coker is scheduled to appear in court later.

COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– RANDOLPH – Three juveniles, ages 12 of Randolph, were taken into custody following the completion of an investigation into a criminal mischief incident in the town of Randolph. The youths were each charged with third- and fourth-degree criminal mischief. They were issued tickets to appear in Cattaraugus County Family Court later.

DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Jose Pacheco, 26, of Dunkirk, was arrested Dec. 6 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and false personation.

— Layla Garcia, 21, of Dunkirk, was arrested Dec. 10 and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

— Reynaldo Davila Del Hoyo, no age listed, of Dunkirk, was arrested Dec. 11 and charged with second-degree obstruction of government administration, endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree harassment.

— Gabriel Soto, 31, of Dunkirk, was arrested Dec. 13 and charged with petit larceny.

— Alicia Basile, no age listed, of Silver Creek, was arrested Dec. 13 and charged with driving while intoxicated and unsafe tire.
