Woman Charged In Theft Of Packages, Drugs
A Jamestown woman is facing multiple charges in connection with a number of porch larcenies and drug possession on Saturday morning.
Jamestown police report Kristin A. Dale, 35, was charged with petit larceny, second-degree reckless endangerment, fifth-degree possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
At approximately 09:42 a.m., officers responded to a larceny in progress on the North Side. Upon arrival in the area, officers found that a victim observed a suspicious vehicle traveling slowly down their street. The victim quickly identified from their home’s surveillance cameras that the occupant of the vehicle had just stolen a package off of their porch.
While on the phone with 911 dispatchers, the suspect vehicle returned to the area and parked in front of another residence that had a package on its porch. The victim approached the suspect and attempted to motion them to stop. At that time, the suspect sped towards the victim at a high rate of speed and drove around the victim, almost striking them. The victim was able to relay a license plate to 911 dispatchers.
Officers canvassed the North side of the city and located the vehicle near Fulton and Strong streets. One of the vehicle’s occupants, Dale, quickly entered a nearby residence and locked the door. Dale was known to have outstanding warrants for third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny out of the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. Officers subsequently made entry into the residence, where Dale refused to come out.
After a search of the residence, Dale was taken into custody. During the incident, a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine was located within Dale’s property. Officers also located stolen property belonging to multiple victims. Dale was transported to the City Jail, where she was held pending arraignment.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Robert M Fraley, 37, was charged with third-degree assault. At 1 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a domestic dispute. Through an investigation officers determined that Fraley punched the female victim multiple times in the back of the head causing substantial pain. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— CHAUTAUQUA — At around 10:40 p.m. Friday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single motor vehicle accident on Route 430. The operator was identified as Richard M. Saullo, 38, of Jamestown. Further investigation found Saullo to be driving while intoxicated. Saullo was charged with DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a vehicle out of ignition interlock device, moving from lane unsafely and unlicensed operator. Saullo will answer for his charges in town court later.
