JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Brian L. Turk, 19, of Jamestown, was charged with two counts of second-degree menacing. Around 8 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a report of a person with a weapon on the north side of the city. Upon arrival officers located two victims and the suspect outside of the residence. The victims stated the suspect, Turk, pointed what appeared to be a

rifle at both of them and stated he was going to shoot them both.

Turk was placed into custody and transported to the city jail. Officers did located and seize an imitation firearm. Turk was being held in the city jail pending arraignment.

— Daniel G. Galarza, 36, was charged with second-degree menacing and third-degree possession of a weapon, a felony. After 1:10 p.m. Friday, officers responded to an address on the southwest side of the city for an in-progress domestic dispute. Through an investigation, officers found that during the verbal altercation, Galarza picked up a 10-inch machete and held it up at the victim in a threatening manner. The action placed the victim in reasonable fear for her safety. He was placed into custody without incident and transported to City Jail.

— Xander L. Finch, 23, of Jamestown, was charged with DWI, DWI per se, passing a red signal and having an uninspected motor vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop for observed traffic infractions at West Third and Cherry streets around 2 a.m. Saturday. Finch was released and will be back in court later.

— Krista J. Jones, 32, of Busti was charged with DWI, DWI per se, having inadequate brakes, an improper left turn and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on West Fourth Street around 3:44 a.m. Saturday for observed traffic infractions. Jones was released on traffic tickets and will return to court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— CHARLOTTE — A pair of Gerry residents are facing charges for trespassing. Deputies responded to East Road around 7:15 a.m. Saturday. After an investigation, it is alleged that Jason C. Koch, 40, and Elizabeth A. Yusczyk, 32, both unlawfully entered a house on the property. Both subjects were charged with second-degree criminal trespass and released to be in town court later.
