JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Timothy S. Smith, 42, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and four counts of second-degree unlawful imprisonment. Officers responded at 3:49 p.m. Thursday to a residence on the south side of the city for a reported domestic dispute. An investigation determined that Smith allegedly got into an altercation with another person and damaged her purse in front of three juvenile children. Smith also allegedly restrained the female and three juveniles by grabbing them and preventing them from leaving the residence. Smith was transported to jail and held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Toni L. Schnars, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with resisting arrest. Police stopped Schnars at 11:26 a.m. Friday for an outstanding bench warrant out of Chautauqua County while she was walking on Strong Street. After a short foot pursuit, Schnars was taken into custody. She was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for court.

¯ Victor M. Melendez, 45, no address listed, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. Officers observed Melendez walking in the area of East Eighth Street and Prendergast Avenue around 8:30 a.m. Friday. Officers we aware that Melendez had an active bench warrant out of Jamestown City Court. Officers conducted a street check and, upon exiting the vehicle and advising Melendez of his warrant, he fled on foot in an effort to evade arrest. After leading officers on a short foot pursuit, Melendez was placed in custody without further incident. During a search, officers recovered 17.2 grams of fentanyl. Melendez was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY COURT

¯ Desiray Corrigan, 40, of Falconer, pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging her with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband. The incident occurred on or about Dec. 29, 2022, in the town of Little Valley when Corrigan allegedly possessed a narcotic drug with intent to sell. The matter has been adjourned for motions.

¯ Alan Maynard, 26, of Allegany, was sentenced to six months in Cattaraugus County Jail plus five years of probation. The incident occurred on or about April 23, 2022, in the town of Humphrey in which Maynard allegedly stole property with a value that exceeded $3,000.

¯ John Filgrove, 30, of Olean, was sentenced to a term of two years following a second-degree assault conviction. The incident occurred on or about Nov. 29, 2022, in the city of Olean in which Filgrove allegedly intended to cause physical injury by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.

¯ Shamara Robinson, 32, of Buffalo, was sentenced to a term of three years in prison after being convicted on charges of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. The incidents occurred on or about Feb. 3, 2023, in the town of Hinsdale.
