CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
¯ At 11:32 a.m. Monday, deputies were dispatched to a shoplifting that occurred at Tops Market at 3955 Vineyard Drive in the town of Dunkirk. After investigation it was found that 62-year-old Dunkirk resident Mark J Szocki had committed petit larceny. He was later banned from the store and is to be in town court later.
¯ HANOVER — Fire investigators were at the scene of a fire at a mobile home park on Angell Road in Hanover early Thursday morning. The fire occurred after midnight and video and photos of the incident were posted on the Chautauqua County Fire Wire Facebook page. At least one home in the park was impacted by the blaze.
While on the scene, deputies located Jeremiah Haas, 43, of Silver Creek. At that time Haas was in violation of an active Stay Away Order of Protection and was therefore taken into custody. Haas was taken into custody and later transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment. Haas will be in the town of Hanover Court at a later date.
DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Benjamin Cole, 29, of Dunkirk, was arrested Saturday and charged with obstruction of governmental administration.
¯ Luis Carrasquillo, 26, of Rochester, was arrested Sunday and charged with second-degree assault, unlawful imprisonment, third-degree menacing, and criminal obstruction of breathing.
¯ Charles Card, 19, of Dunkirk, was arrested (no date given) and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing.
