¯ Randy J. Wright Jr., 40, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree strangulation. Officers responded at 12:14 a.m. Wednesday to a residence on the south side of the city after receiving numerous 911 calls. Officers made contact with a woman and Wright, who was known to have active warrants out of Jamestown City Court. It was later learned that Wright had allegedly struck the woman with a pair of keys enclosed in his fist. It was also discovered that he had allegedly choked the female victim the previous night causing her to lose consciousness. Wright was held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

¯ MINA — Jace T. Bemis, 41, of Mina, was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment. Deputies responded at 1 a.m. Wednesday to an address in the town of Mina for a reported altercation. Bemis was charged following an investigation. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
