Forestville man charged in illegal drugs, weapons

FORESTVILLE — A local resident has been charged after an investigation into narcotics activity and illegal weapons possession at 11139 Mixer Road. On Tuesday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department said it conducted a search warrant that led to the arrest of Timothy Will on Aug. 23.

Will was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The warrant resulted in the seizure of approximately 10 grams of fentanyl, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, several large capacity ammunition feeding devices, a switchblade knife and $1,891 in cash. Will was arraigned at the Chautauqua County Jail and was being held on bail.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office criminal and narcotics investigators were assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, Dunkirk Police, Jamestown Police, FBI Safe Streets, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office and Chautauqua County EMS.

Authorities continue to ask members of the community to call and report suspicious or narcotics related activity within their neighborhoods. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

A pair of city residents were charged after being located at 129 Price St. on Saturday.

Around 12:43 p.m., officers responded to a trespassing complaint at a condemned residence. The subjects were identified as Eric Ramos Astacio, 27, and Edwin Sanchez Jr. 44/ While on scene Ramos Astacio concealed and attempted to destroy physical evidence by placing glassine envelopes into his sock and then into his mouth.

Ramos Astacio was advised multiple times by officers to remove the items from his mouth and to place his hands behind his back. He failed to comply with commands that were given and began tensing up and pulling away from officers.

Briefly after, he complied and was placed into custody along with Sanchez. Both were transported to the Jamestown City Jail without further incident.

Upon a search, Sanchez was found to be in possession 12.4 grams of cocaine located in 23 separate capsules and Ramos Astacio was found to be in possession of 0.4 grams of Fentanyl. Ramos Astacio is charged with tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and trespass. Snachez was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and trespass. Both were being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

LITTLE VALLEY — Stuart L. Elijah, 33, of Perrysburg, was arrested on a bench warrant out of town of Perrysburg court on Monday in Randolph. He was arraigned in Perrysburg town court and remanded to county jail on $2,000 cash bail.
