JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Michael A. Baxter, 59, of Jamestown, was charged with aggravated family offense and second-degree criminal contempt. Officers responded at 2 p.m. Thursday to the east side of the city for an unwanted person. The person was identified as Baxter, who had active warrants from the Jamestown Police Department. While officers were responding, they observed Baxter walking nearby after he jumped from the victim’s roof in an attempt to escape. Baxter also allegedly violated a valid stay-away order of protection by being at the victim’s residence. Baxter was taken into custody and transported to jail.

¯ STOCKTON — Louis B. Horton, 45, of Stockton, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, moving from lane unsafely, speed not reasonable/prudent, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Deputies responded at 12:07 a.m. Wednesday to a reported crash on Route 380 in the town of Stockton. Deputies learned that the driver involved had allegedly fled the scene. The driver, identified as Horton, was located nearby. An investigation determined that he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in court later. No injuries were reported in the crash.
