JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Michael A. Green, 32, no known address, was charged with making graffiti, possession of graffiti instruments, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers responded at 1 a.m. Thursday to the area of 115 W. Fifth St. for numerous trespass and criminal mischief complaints. Upon arrival, officers located Green and later learned he had been making graffiti in the Cherry Street ramp. A search also turned up a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine. He was held for arraignment.

¯ Amber J. Hitchcock, 29, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree assault. Patrol responded at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to the city’s south side for a reported domestic dispute. It was learned that Hitchcock allegedly threw another person into a table and onto the ground. Hitchcock was later transported to jail and held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

¯ Joseph B. Trippe, 23, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree assault and false personation. Officers responded at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday to Prendergast Library, 509 Cherry St., for a possible overdose. Upon arrival, officers located Trippe unconscious inside the bathroom of the library. After an evaluation, EMTs determined Trippe was unable to care for himself and was going to be transported to UPMC for further evaluation. Trippe attempted to escape protective custody, and struck the officer in the face with a closed fist. After a brief struggle, the officer was able to take Trippe into custody with assistance of Jamestown firefighters. He was evaluated and later transported to jail.
