Faulty electric blamed in fire
FALCONER — A blaze at a multi-family house in Falconer on Sunday was the result of a faulty electrical service line.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department fire investigators announced the determination early Monday after the Falconer Fire Department along with mutual aid departments responded to a residential structure fire at 221 E. Pearl St. The fire is ruled accidental in nature.
No one was injured in the fire, but a German Shepherd was rescued by first responders.

¯ Devon L Wilson, 29, was charged with second-degree menacing after an incident Sunday afternoon.
Around 5:10 p.m. officers responded to a address on the north side of the city for a person with a weapon. Through an investigation it was determined Wilson threatened a male victim with two butcher knives. While attempting to place Wilson into custody he did resist arrest by attempting to pull away from officers.
After a brief struggle he was placed into custody without further incident. White also was charged with resisting arrest.
He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and being held pending arraignment.
