JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Todd E. Dalton, 39, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers observed a male walking on Lakeview Avenue at 9:55 p.m. Monday. The man, later identified as Dalton, matched the description of a male that was involved in another incident. An investigation found that Dalton was in possession of 6 grams of methamphetamine as well as 7.1 grams of fentanyl that was packaged in individual wrappers and a digital scale. Dalton was transported to jail without incident.

¯ Michael R. Brown, 52, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass. Officers responded at 8:27 p.m. Tuesday to Buffalo Street for a trespass complaint. Brown was then observed fleeing the scene on foot. He was transported to jail and held for arraignment in court.

¯ Ray Luis Camano, 37, no address listed, was charged with petit larceny and fugitive from justice. Officers responded at 8:27 p.m. Tuesday to 7-Eleven on North Main Street for a reported shoplifting incident. Officers were advised that the male had left the store with merchandise without paying. Camano was taken into custody and was later found to have an outstanding warrant in Denver, Colorado. He was transported to jail and held for arraignment in court.

¯ Jonthan B. Yates, 37, no address listed, was charged with resisting arrest. Officers at 12:39 a.m. Tuesday observed two men carrying a ladder in the area of East Fifth and Church streets. While conducting a street check, one of the man, identified as Yates, fled on foot. Yates was taken into custody and found to have outstanding warrants in Jamestown. Yates was held for arraignment in court.

¯ Jacob T. North, 29, no address listed, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. Officers at 2:23 a.m. Wednesday located a vehicle revving its engine on the west side of the city. An investigation determined North was intoxicated while operating a motor vehicle. He also allegedly attempted to hit a pedestrian with his vehicle after a verbal altercation. He was transported to jail and held for arraignment.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ CLYMER — An electrical issue was cited as the cause of a fire that broke out Monday.

Firefighters in Busti were alerted around 4 p.m. to a reported structure fire on Wellman Road.

After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene to conduct a origin and cause fire investigation. Investigators determined the fire was caused by electrical issue within a power strip that was located inside the residence.
