JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— A 36-year-old Jamestown woman is facing charges. Toni M. Hannold was observed by Jamestown police around 10:34 p.m. Thursday outside a north side residence. Officers were aware that Hannold had an outstanding bench warrant from the Lakewood Police Department ad made contact with her.
Hannold attempted to flee inside her residence to avoid being taken into custody. After a brief struggle, Hannold was taken into custody. Hannold was charged with resisting arrest and released to Lakewood Police Department on the bench warrant.
— A 28-year-old city man was charged after an incident early Saturday. Aneudy J. Santos Guzman was a pedestrian on Washington Street at Barrett Avenue when police made an inquiry. During the course of the investigation, Guzman repeatedly misrepresented himself when he provided officers both a fictitious name and birthday. Once Guzman’s correct identity was confirmed, he was taken into custody on the charge of false personation. Guzman also received a ticket for walking in the road.
— Jeffrey M. Smith was charged with second-degree criminal contempt after officers responded to an unwanted person at an address on the West side of the city around 7:12 p.m. Saturday. It was later discovered that Smith, 33, violated a valid stay away order of protection with a female victim by being near the female’s residence and making unwanted statements. He was located a short distance from the residence and placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown city jail.
— Wayne A. Snyder Jr., 33, was charged third-degree burglary and petit larceny. On Sunday, officers responded to shoplifting that had occurred the previous evening at Dollar General on Winsor Street. Upon investigation it was found that store employees had recognized the male as Snyder.
Employees advised that Snyder had previously been banned from the store and while he was in the store Saturday, he stole items belonging to Dollar General. Officers filed accusatory information for Snyder and were able to locate Snyder a short time later. Snyder was taken into custody and transported to the city jail.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— CHAUTAUQUA — At around 02:38 a.m. Monday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Elm Flats Road. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Candice Polvino, 37, of Brocton. Further investigation found Polvino to be driving while intoxicated. Polvino was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and No/Inadequate Plate Lamps. She was later released and will return to town court later.
— WESTFIELD — At around 1:40 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 76. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Angela Tessmer. Further investigation found Tessmer to be Driving While Intoxicated. Tessmer was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and speed over 55 zone.
She was released and will be in town court at a later date.
— ELLERY — A Westfield woman has been charged after an accident Saturday. Around 2:30 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident on Route 430. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Elise Cunningham. Cunningham was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and moving from lane unsafely. Cunningham was later released and will be in court later.
