CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ CHAUTAUQUA — Angela M. Ducuara, 32, was charged Thursday with second-degree criminal contempt. It is alleged that she sent text messaged to another person that had a valid order of protection against her. Ducuara was given an appearance ticket for her charges and is set to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date and time.

¯ MAYVILLE — Shawn A. Sobczak, 45, was charged July 23 with first-degree promoting prison contraband and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that when corrections officers conducted a search of a cell at the Chautauqua County Jail and located a quantity of crack cocaine. At that time inmate Shawn A. Sobczak was the occupant of the cell. Sobczak will be arraigned on charges at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Bracken D. Warren, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Sabrina M. Flores, 23, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Officers were called at 1 p.m. Thursday to an address on the south side of the city for a well-being check on the property and within a tent. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the individuals within the tent and immediately discovered narcotics in plain view. The pair was identified as Warren and Flores, who were both taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. They were held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

¯ DeMarco D. Lathan, 34, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass. Officers were called at 12:12 p.m. Thursday to a home on the city’s north side to assist the city Department of Development with a condemned property. Lathan was observed coming from the back of the property when officers arrived. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

¯ Boston J. Thomas, 23, of Bemus Point, was charged with aggravated harassment, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminal contempt. Officers responded at 10:29 a.m. Friday to a reported domestic incident on the south side of the city. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Thomas, who had an active arrest warrant through the Jamestown Police Department. An investigation revealed that Thomas had allegedly called another person on the phone and threatened to shoot the victim. Officers located a loaded pistol that Thomas could not legally possess. He was held for arraignment in court.
