JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— A Friday incident on the north side of Jamestown has led to charges against a city man.
Jamestown police received a report of an unwanted person in the back yard of a residence. Upon arrival, officers observed Jeremy D. Lyons, 28, on the sidewalk of the residence speaking erratically. He was found to have property in the rear of the residence, which contained less than one gram of Fentanyl.
Officers advised Lyons he was under arrest to which he actively resisted. He was placed into custody after a brief struggle and transported him to Jamestown City Jail.
He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. Additional charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance are pending from an incident earlier in the day where Lyons also had a quantity of Fentanyl found on his person from an incident in the City Jail and third-degree criminal mischief from where Lyons damaged property at Jamestown Police Department. He is being held at the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
— A suspicious person who was throwing knives at Dow Park has been charged by city police.
Around 5 p.m. Friday, officers observed Ramsey J. Huddleston, 43, throwing knives at a tree, which is owned by the city of Jamestown. Ramsey was found to have confirmed warrants out of the city of Jamestown and was taken into custody without incident.
He was additionally charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief for the substantial damage to the tree.
Ramsey is being held in the city jail, pending arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— HANOVER — A vehicle traveling on Routes 5 and 20, while making a lane change failed to signal, that led to charges around 3 a.m. Sunday.
The vehicle was stopped and the operator was identified as Alexandra Glover, 29, of Buffalo. Following a brief investigation, it was determined that Glover was driving while intoxicated. She was charged with traffic tickets for improper turn without signaling, driving while intoxicated, and DWI per se.
She will be in Hanover court later.
— HANOVER — A vehicle traveling on Iola Drive in Sunset Bay and approaching a clearly marked stop sign, allegedly failed to come to a full and complete stop signaling charges.
The vehicle was stopped and the operator was identified as Rachael Torgalski, 39, of Cheektowaga, around 1 a.m. Sunday. Following a brief investigation it was determined that she was driving while intoxicated. She was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, driving while intoxicated, and DWI Per Se.
She will be in Hanover town court later.
