¯ OLEAN — Scott A. Carlson, 48, of Happy Hollow Road, Olean, was charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter on Sunday after a pedestrian was killed in an accident on Seneca Avenue in the town of Olean. Carlson was allegedly driving the truck when it hit and killed a 42-year-old Olean woman. Carlson then fled the scene, according to a police report. More charges are possible once the investigation by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau, crash scene investigators and the Cattaraugus County District Attorney’s office is complete. Carlson was arraigned in Olean City Court and taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of bail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

¯ Patrick Blakemore, 44, of Jamestown was charged with trespassing and resisting arrest on Saturday after officers responded to the Big Lots store, 21 S. Main St., for a report of a disorderly person standing behind a cash register and pressing on a computer screen. Police report Blakemore had been asked to leave the store previously and was asked several times to leave Saturday because he was alarming staff and customers. When officers arrived to remove Blakemore from the store he allegedly was combative with officers. Blakemore was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.
