JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Heather Babyak, 52, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers observed Babyak around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday walking in the area of West Third and Cherry streets. Babyak was known to have outstanding warrants and was taken into custody. During a search, Babyak was allegedly found with a quantity of methamphetamine. She was being held for arraignment.
¯ Donavan E. L. Paquette, 27, no address listed, was charged with third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Patrol responded at 4:26 p.m. Wednesday to the east side of the city for an alleged assault. An investigation found that Paquette allegedly threatened and struck another person in the face, breaking their glasses. Paquette was transported to jail and held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
¯ Elijah R. Keefe, 21, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree burglary, first- and second-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal tampering. Officers responded at 3:39 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a person who unlawfully entered a north side home and removed a juvenile relative. An investigation found that Keefe had violated an order of protection by pushing a female and taking her phone while she attempted to call 911 for help. Keefe violated an additional order of protection by being around the juvenile relative. Police later learned that Keefe was at a home in Falconer. Keefe allegedly barricaded himself and the juvenile in a room. He was taken into custody when officers forced entry. The child was returned safely and uninjured to family members. He was being held for court.

¯ HANOVER — Jacob A. E. McMahon, 23, of Randolph, was charged with speed in zone, uninspected motor vehicle, open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle and DWI. Deputies at 1:35 a.m. on Thursday observed a traffic violation on Routes 5 and 20 in Hanover. An investigation found that McMahon was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in court later.
¯ POMFRET — Timothy J. Kasperek, 54, of Fredonia, was charged with DWI and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 12:54 a.m. May 6 on Route 20 in Pomfret for an alleged traffic violation. An investigation found that Kasperek was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He is scheduled to appear in court later.
¯ Dakota J. Gibbon, 35, of Cassadaga, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny. On May 8, an investigation was conducted by road patrol regarding a fraud complaint, which was then turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division. An investigation found that Gibbon was allegedly in possession of a forged check totaling $800 and had cashed the check at a bank in the village of Fredonia. He is scheduled to answer the charges in court later.
