Structure Fire Probe Continues In Jamestown
An investigation is continuing into a fire at a 3 1/2-story structure in the city of Jamestown.
Firefighters report they responded to the area of Willard and Allen streets around 11:30 p.m. Friday and found a heavy fire on the exterior porch extending to the attic.
Crews knocked down a large amount of fire from the exterior with a blitz fire nozzle and moved to the interior, the department reported on its Facebook page. Engine 3 and Ladder 1 crews forced entry into the second and third floors simultaneously to search for victims and fire extension.
Ladder 1 was also set up for aerial operations to fully overhaul the structure due to the intensity of the fire above the porch.
Off-shift members were requested to assist on scene and on other calls occurring within the city. There were no reported victims or injuries.
Crews remained on the scene through 6 Saturday morning.
