LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Wendie A. Cressley, 43, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, following too closely, using cell phone while driving and improper plates. Officers were called at 2:35 p.m. Friday to a crash on Big Tree Road in which a vehicle struck the rear of a parked UPS truck on the side of the road. No one was injured in the crash. An investigation determined that Cressley was allegedly intoxicated, and she later provided a breath sample of 0.17%. She is scheduled to appear in court later.

GOWANDA POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Sarah J. Archer, 35, of Irving, was taken into custody April 18 on warrants with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and Salamanca City Court. Archer was turned over to the Sheriff’s Office to process their warrant.

¯ Kelsey R. Vanevery, 28, of Irving, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and a cell phone violation. Vanevery was stopped by patrol at 9:45 a.m. Thursday on Buffalo Street for using a cell phone while operating a vehicle. A check showed Vanevery’s license was suspended for failure to answer a traffic violation in the town of Henrietta. She is scheduled to appear in Collins Town Court later.
