JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
–Zachary R. Conklin, 20, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree burglary. Patrol responded at 9:47 p.m. Saturday to Key Bank at 417 Spring St. after receiving a complaint of a male allegedly attempting to break into the bank. Conklin was located trying to gain access to the bank. He was taken into custody and held for arraignment in court.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Michelle R. Grimm, 22, of Busti, was charged with petit larceny. Grimm was stopped by Walmart Asset Protection at 1:12 p.m. Friday for allegedly not scanning all items in her possession before leaving the store. Grimm is scheduled to appear in court later.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
— COLD SPRING — Jason L. Nichols, 41, of Cold Spring, was taken into custody April 12 after a warrant was executed by U.S. Marshals and deputies on Lower Gulf Road in the town of Cold Spring. Nichols had an active warrant from the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. He was arraigned in Little Valley Town Court and later transported to Cattaraugus County Jail. He was being held pending extradition by Pennsylvania authorities.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
–VILLENOVA — On Thursday at 12:27 p.m., troopers charged Jeremy N. Miller, 47, of Cuero, Texas, with driving while intoxicated after he was involved in a personal injury automobile accident on Lovers Lane Road. He was transported to Brooks-TLC Hospital via ambulance before being released to State Police at Fredonia, where he refused all tests. Miller was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment due to being an out of state resident.
— On Friday at 10:30 p.m., troopers on patrol stopped Michael A. Mleczko, 43, of Dunkirk with operating his unregistered ATV on Franklin Avenue in the town of Dunkirk. During the interview with Mleczko, Troopers noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath, as well as failure of standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Mleczko was charged and transported to SP Fredonia, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.12% BAC. Mleczko was released with appearance tickets for the town of Dunkirk Court later this month.
–At 12:52 a.m. Sunday, troopers charged Santos V. Perez, 42, of Sturbridge, Mass., after he was observed traveling into oncoming traffic while heading southbound on Bennett Road in the town of Dunkirk. Even with patrol lights activated, Perez continued at a high rate of speed, passing troopers, striking multiple signs near the roundabout located at state Routes 20 and 60 before the vehicle came to a stop in the Country Fair parking lot. Troopers observed Perez stumble out of the vehicle. During the interview with Perez, Troopers noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath, and his refusal of completing standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Perez was transported to Fredonia barracks, where he was processed and released to a third party. Perez was released with appearance tickets for the town of Pomfret Court. Dunkirk Police Department assisted troopers at the scene.
