JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Justin T. Yuchnitz, 29, of Jamestown, was charged with resisting arrest. Officers responded at 10:01 p.m. Wednesday to the south side of the city for a reported noise complaint. Police approached Yuchnitz, who was found to have several outstanding warrants, including a federal warrant. Yuchnitz ran but was located under the deck of a nearby residence. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail on the warrants and held for arraignment in court.
¯ Nathan A. Abers, 49, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. Patrol responded at 5:04 p.m. Thursday to the east side of the city for a warrant check. Police were allowed to check a residence for Abers who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. Abers was located inside the residence and was taken into custody. It was discovered that Abers had a valid stay away order of protection for the person who lived in the residence. Abers was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment in court.
