¯ William Gardner, 23, of Jamestown, was charged with resisting arrest. Officers conducted a street check at 4 p.m. Monday on a person who was wanted on a bench warrant out of Jamestown City Court for failure to appear on a prior charge. Officers contacted the male, identified as Gardner, who attempted to walk away. After being advised of the warrant and attempting to take him into custody, Gardner began to pull away. He was eventually taken into custody and was transported to Jamestown City Jail.


¯ A Salamanca man has been charged with possession of child pornography. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation of the New York State Police stationed at Olean charged Myron A. Bialaszewski, 61, with possessing a sexual performance by a child on Monday. With the assistance from the Troop A Computer Crimes Unit, the bureau conducted an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation in the city of Salamanca. That determined Bialaszewski possessed child pornography. Bialaszewski was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the city of Salamanca Court later April 2023. The mission of the ICAC Task Force is to identify individuals online who are attempting to lure children to meet for sex or those disseminating child sexual abuse material. The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program helps state and local law enforcement agencies develop an effective response to technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and Internet crimes against children.
