ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Tonya L. Earley, 45, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny. Police responded at 1:15 p.m. Saturday to a reported shoplifting complaint at Wegmans on Fairmount Avenue. Earley was issued a ticket to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Leila M. Diaz, 22, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny. Diaz was stopped at 10 p.m. Friday by asser protection at Walmart for allegedly shoplifting. Diaz allegedly took several items throughout the store but only paid for some of the items at the register. She then passed all points of sale with the unpaid items. Diaz is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Eduardo L. Rivera, 23, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. Rivera was observed walking at 7:11 p.m. Sunday on the north side of the city. Rivera had an active bench warrant from the Jamestown Police Department. Rivera began running away from officers but was taken into custody following a brief pursuit. He was held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

¯ Kyle N. Lewis, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally possessing drug paraphernalia and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Officers stopped a vehicle at 9:42 p.m. Friday on the north side of the city for multiple traffic infractions. Prior to the vehicle coming to a stop, a passenger fled. The male, later identified as Lewis, was taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit. An investigation found that Lewis possessed a quantity of a methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture, along with a digital scale and a large sum of U.S cash. He was held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ BROCTON — Tristan C. Miller-Pierce, 25, of Brocton, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal tampering. Deputies responded at 11:03 p.m. Sunday to a Main Street address in Brocton for a reported altercation. An investigation found that Miller-Pierce allegedly damaged property and tampered with property belonging to another person. Miller-Pierce was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

¯ WESTFIELD — Aarien D. Carvallo, 25, of North East, Pa., was charged with third-degree assault. Deputies responded at 9:39 p.m. Sunday to Westfield for an unwanted person. An investigation found that Carvallo allegedly injured another person by striking them in the head and face area repeatedly. Carvallo was transported to jail for centralized arraignment.

SENTENCES

¯ Meghan McBride, 32, of Jamestown, was sentenced Monday by Judge David David Foley to a determinate state prison sentence of four years, plus five years of post-release supervision after being convicted of second-degree robbery, a class C violent felony. On Jan. 5, McBride pleaded guilty to the charge for her participation in a strong-arm robbery where one person was assaulted, injured and had property stolen that occurred in February 2022.

¯ Simeon Leeper, 20, of Jamestown, was sentenced by Foley to a determinate state prison sentence of two years, plus three years of post-release supervision after being convicted of second-degree attempted criminal possession of a weapon, a class D violent felony. On Jan. 12, 2023, Leeper pleaded guilty to the charge after he was caught trying to hide a loaded gun. The incident occurred in June 2021.
