JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— A traffic stop Saturday morning led to a pair of arrests after fentanyl and methamphetamine was found inside a vehicle.
At 7:41 a.m., Jamestown Police made the traffic stop on Van Buren Street near Prendergast Avenue for a traffic violation. The occupants of the vehicle were found to be Joshua L. Waygood, Damion L. Carlson, and Rebecca K. Blue.
Through an investigation, a quantity of illicit drugs was located inside the vehicle. Waygood was found to be in possession of 5.9 grams of methamphetamine and 0.5 grams of fetanyl. Carlson was in possession of less than a gram of methamphetamine, and Blue was found with 1 gram of methamphetamine.
Carlson initially gave police a false name after being questioned numerous times and was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, along with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Blue was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and Waygood was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
All three were transported to the Jamestown City Jail without further incident.
— At 11:59 a.m. Saturday, Jamestown police responded to a business on the West Side of the city for an alarm. It was reported that a male had damaged a door inside the building before fleeing the area on foot.
Officers were able to locate the male based on the description given by witnesses, and identified him as 21-year-old Andrew J. Webber.
Webber was transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. Webber was released and will be in Jamestown City Court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— GERRY — After midnight Saturday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Route 60 for alleged traffic violations. The operator was identified as Lindsey L. Ulrich, 39, from Cassadaga.
Upon further investigation, it is alleged that Ulrich was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and her driving privileges from the state had been revoked. Ulrich was taken into custody and charged with DWI, DWI Per Se, first-degree aggravated operator, moving from lane unsafely and failure to keep right.
Ulrich was also discovered to have active warrants from Jamestown police. Ulrich was turned over to be arraigned on her warrant. She is to be in the town of Gerry at a later date.
— NORTH HARMONY
— At 3:40 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 394. On arrival it was found the driver had left the scene of the accident. A short time later deputies located the operator, who was identified to be a 18-year-old male.
After an investigation the male was arrested and charged with Driving while intoxicated, Driving while intoxicated per se, Leaving the scene of a property damage accident and speed unreasonable and prudent. The male was released with traffic tickets and will be in the town of North Harmony Court on a later date.
