JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– An argument that included property damage has led to charges for a 27-year-old male.
At about 6:51 p.m. Saturday, Jamestown police responded to an address on the south side of the city for a domestic incident. Through an investigation, it was found that Andrew L. Crawford threatened to hit a female victim and damaged some of her property. The incident took place in the presence of a 1-year-old infant.
Crawford was later located and taken into custody. He was charged with second-degree harassment, fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated family offense.
– A physical domestic incident on Saturday morning has led to charges for a Jamestown man.
At around 8:05 a.m., Jamestown police responded to a north side residence. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Claude T. Wine Jr., 28, and a female victim.
Through an investigation it was determined that Wine caused physical injury to the female victim during a physical altercation. It was also determined the altercation occurred in the presence of two juveniles inside the residence. Wine has valid orders of protections out of Jamestown City Court with the female victim and two children in the residence.
He was charged with aggravated family offense, aggravated criminal contempt, two counts of third-degree assault, two counts of second-degree criminal contempt and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
He was being held in city jail pending arraignment.
– A city man wanted on a shoplifting complaint is facing drug charges after an arrest Friday.
At 4 p.m., Jamestown police responded to a north side business for an unwanted subject. Through a short investigation, officers were able to locate the male, who was later identified as Jeremy D. Lyons, a short distance away.
Lyons, 28, had pending charges from an earlier shoplifting complaint and was taken into custody. A search incident to arrest yielded a quantity of methamphetamine.
Lyons was transported to the city jail where he was charged with petit larceny from the earlier incident and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and released per state bail reform.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– BROCTON – At around 8:05 p.m. Thursday, county sheriff’s deputies conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on Peerless Street for an alleged traffic violation. The operator of the vehicle was identified as 23-year-old Tyler Dalton of Dunkirk. It was determined that Dalton was driving while intoxicated after an investigation. He was placed in custody and later released with citations of DWI, DWI per se, no/inadequate headlamp, and unlicensed operator. He will return to the Town of Portland Court later.
