DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT

— A traffic stop Saturday evening in the city of Dunkirk has lead to the seizure of 19.6 grams of fentanyl.

At approximately 7:46 p.m., a Dunkirk police officer stopped a vehicle for an observed violation on Central Avenue. An investigation led to the seizure of fentanyl from the vehicle.

The operator, identified as Dakota O. Cordell, 25 of Dunkirk, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and several vehicle and traffic law violations.

Cordell was held in city jail pending arraignment.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

DEPARTMENT

— A Jamestown woman who spit at store employees and ran around a parking lot is facing charges.

At about noon Saturday, Jamestown Police responded to Tops Markets at 738 Foote Ave. After an investigation, it was determined Jennifer J. Jankowiak, 57, was unprovoked and approached a Tops Markets staff member. She allegedly stated “all men are scum” and then spit on the staff member.

Staff then approached Jankowiak and asked her to leave the premise when she began spitting on another staff member. She then began chasing the employee around the parking lot before leaving.

After leaving the store, she was located off scene a short time later by police. Jankowiak was charged with two counts of second-degree harassment in the and transported to City Jail and will be in court at a later date.

— Around 9 p.m., Jamestown police responded to Big Lots in Brooklyn Square for a report of a shoplifting. The male was located and identified as Jeremy Lyons, 27, of Jamestown. He was charged with petit larceny and released

for court later.
