A Jamestown man was charged Monday after a weapon complaint.

At 5:20 a.m., Jamestown Police responded to Eagle Street for a person with a weapon complaint. Upon arrival officers located 23-year-old Christian M. Jewell at Eagle Street and Scioto St. Officers gave Jewell numerous verbal commands, which he did not follow.

Officers were able to take Jewell into custody and recovered a loaded .38 caliber revolver in his possession. Jewell did not possess a state pistol permit. Jewell was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was held pending arraignment. He was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
