¯ Dashawna M. Sparks, 30, of Jamestown, was charged with aggravated family offense and two counts of first-degree criminal contempt. Officers responded at 7:33 p.m. Wednesday to the west side of the city for a reported domestic dispute. An investigation found that Sparks allegedly violated an order of protection against two people. Sparks was located later and was transported to Jamestown City Jail. She was being held for arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

¯ SHERIDAN — Rik A. J. Rinehart, 34, of Sheridan, was charged with first- and second-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree stalking and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Deputies at 3:03 a.m. Thursday received a report of an alleged order of protection violation. An investigation found that Rinehart repeatedly violated his order of protection when he failed to stay away from the home of the protected party. Following the violation, Rinehart reportedly fled the area but was later taken into custody with the assistance of the Dunkirk Police Department and New York State Police. He is scheduled to appear in Sheridan Town Court later.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
¯ Ellicottville — Troy M. Lafferty, 46, of Salamanca, was charged with first-degree rape. On Aug. 29, state troopers received a possible rape complaint in the town of Ellicottville. An investigation determined that Lafferty allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion with a 30-year-old victim. Lafferty was picked up Dec. 6 by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and arraigned in Ellicottville Town Court. He was released under supervision and is scheduled to reappear in court January 2023.
¯ GREAT VALLEY — Shayne J. Hagon, 26, of Great Valley, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Troopers were called Dec. 26 to a single-vehicle crash on Klawitter Road in the town of Great Valley. Troopers reportedly observed Hagon to possess signs of intoxication, and he was taken into custody following field sobriety tests. Hagon later provided a breath sample of 0.14%. He is scheduled to appear in court later.
