CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY DA’S OFFICE

¯ Christopher Howie, 50, of Jamestown, was sentenced in Chautauqua County Court after pleading guilty in December 2021 to one count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Howie was scheduled for sentencing in May of this year but failed to appear. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was eventually returned and sentenced by County Court Judge David Foley to six years in state prison plus three years of post-release supervision as a non-violent predicate felon.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

DEPARTMENT

¯ Tyler G. Coulter, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, first-degree reckless endangerment, aggravated family offense and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. While on patrol at 4 p.m. Wednesday, officers observed a domestic in progress on North Main Street. An investigation found that Coulter allegedly attempted to run over someone with his vehicle while another person was almost struck by the vehicle. Coulter had his child in the vehicle at the time. No one was injured during the incident. Coulter was taken into custody after video surveillance confirmed the incident. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.

DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARMENT

¯ Cristobal Oquendo, 42, of Dunkirk, was arrested Dec. 2 and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, third-degree unlawful fleeing from police officer, fourth-degree criminal mischief, improper or no signal, speeding in restricted zone, speed unreasonable or prudent, improper passing, unlicensed operator, and three counts of failure to stop at a stop sign.

¯ Isiah Smith, 25, of Jamestown, was arrested Monday and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, obstruction of justice, unlicensed operator, unregistered motorcycle and operating without insurance.

¯ Angel Ramos, 23, homeless, was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree assault.

¯ Trevon Tripp, 25, of Dunkirk, was arrested Tuesday and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
