CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

¯ HANOVER — Around 2:27 a.m. Sunday deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident. Through an investigation it was discovered that the operator of the vehicle Richard M. Iglesias, 35, of Tonawanda, had been operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Iglesias was charged with DWI, DWI Per Se, and moved from lane unsafely. He was transported to a Sheriff’s Office substation, then released with tickets to appear in the town of Hanover court later.

¯ MAYVILLE — On Thursday, Chautauqua County Jail inmate Scott A Eddy Jr. of Jamestown allegedly attacked another inmate causing injuries to the victim. Eddy was charged with second-degree assault and will be in centralized arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ COLLINS — At 4:11 p.m. Wednesday, troopers out of Fredonia charged Anthony Arguelles, 22, of Gowanda with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Troopers on patrol stopped Arguelles after observing his vehicle with a loud exhaust on State Route 62. During the interview of Arguelles, Troopers noticed droopy eyelids, impaired speech as well as failure of standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Arguelles was arrested and transported to Collins barracks and released on an appearance ticket for the town of Collins court for later this month.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Stephanie D. Schell, 49, of Lakewood, was charged at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday with second-degree harassment at Walmart. According to police, Schell was arguing with another patron after nearly striking a family in the crosswalk. Upon further investigation, officers learned Schell allegedly made threats and spit on a female. She will be in Busti Town Court later.
